I’ve created this FAQ page to answer the most common questions that I receive regarding Forget Me Not sessions. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to call (248.505.1696) or email (info@angelacoventry.com) me.
1. How much does a Forget Me Not session cost?
Your session is $400. For details on pricing for prints and custom albums, please email me at info@angelacoventry.com
2. Where does the session take place?
Your session can take place at my studio, your home or other place of your choosing. *There may be additional charges for travel*
3. Do we meet before the session?
I don’t do pre consultations for Forget Me Not sessions. We can definitely have a phone consultation if you prefer.
4. Do I wear make up to the session?
No, please come make up free. A fresh clean face is much easier for the make up artist to work with and is preferred.
5. Is there a discount if I do my own make up?
Make up is very important for a Forget Me Session and I stress that you allow my make up artist to do your make up. Make up application is different for photography and she is preparing you for this, as well as, my style of retouching. False eyelashes are included with your session and I recommend that you DO get them. If you insist that you would rather do your own make up, I will be happy to photograph you, but there is no discount if you forego this service.
6. Is a hair stylist included?
I do not provide a hair stylist, but feel free to have your hair done before coming to your session.
7. Are high resolution files included?
I provide medium resolution files of all images seen in your gallery. These images are not retouched. All prints and custom albums that are ordered will be fully retouched. You may purchase fully retouched, high resolution files.
8. Is the online gallery available for public viewing?
Your online gallery is password protected. You can give the password to whomever you would like to view your gallery.
9. How long before I see my images?
Your online gallery will be available with color corrected images withing 14 days of your session.
10. How do I pay for my session?
I require a $150 non-refundable deposit to reserve session date and time. This payment can be made via check, credit card through an online shopping cart or paypal invoice. Final payment is due on the day of the shoot and is payable by cash ONLY.
11. How do I pay for prints, custom albums and other products?
A shopping cart is available in your online gallery for payment of prints, custom albums and other products.
12. Do I have input into the design of the custom album?
You choose all of the images that go in the album. Angela Coventry Photography/Angela Coventry takes full creative control over the image processing techniques used in the book and the page layouts. I’ve done a lot of these books and ask my clients to trust my judgement.
13. What should I bring to the session?
I suggest you always bring a minimum of 6 outfits. I generally photograph 3-4 changes. Having a couple of extras so that it gives us more choice is always the better route to go. Giving us some choice of color, style, etc. allows me, as the photographer, to have some creative control over what you’re going to wear. All you really need are some varied selections of bra and underwear sets, a corset set, a teddy and/or camisole always works well. If your fiance/husband/boyfriend has a favorite outfit that he likes to see you in, bring that. Even sporty pajamas can look cute and sexy if photographed properly. And if you’re a bride to be and have a veil, bring it. It makes for a terrific accessory. Many clients bring sports shirts, a shirt and tie from his wardrobe, etc. Anything that makes the shoot more personal to him will always make for a fun photograph.
14. What about accessories? I’ve seen hats, boas etc. in your photos.
I ask that you bring your favorite jewelry, earrings specifically. Also, don’t forget shoes. Please keep in mind that shoes with a pointy heel are much more flattering than shoes with chunky heels for photos. I have an array of props, accessories and beautiful fabrics to help us create the overall look.
15. Can I re-schedule?
Yes, you can re-schedule your appointment. I require an additional $50 administration fee if notice is not given more than 48 hours before your original scheduled session. You have 3 months from the date of your cancellation to use your deposit before it is forfeited.
16. I understand that Angela Coventry Photography/Angela Coventry retains the copyright to the images, do I have to allow my images to be used in your portfolio?
No. I have carefully worded the contract so that you have the final say if and how your images are used. I understand and respect that some of my clients do not want their images online.
17. Is there anything else that I should know?
I would like you to please be on time for your session so that we can sort through your attire first. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Be sure to wear lose clothing that does not cause marks to be left on the skin. Example would be tight bra straps, or creases from tight jeans. I would suggest that you wear loose sweat type clothing to the session if possible!! And any tight jewellery that you normally wear like watches, etc. should be removed well in advance. We suggest you may want to also get a pedicure and manicure because your hands and feet are in many of the images.
